MY MACHINE QUILTING SERVICES

Quilt Preparation

Your quilt top and backing need to be 'squared up' to avoid puckering during quilting. You can do this yourself, or I can do this for you.

Squaring up costs $20 for the backing and $40 for the quilt top

Large roll of cream coloured wadding or batting

Wadding & Backing

I can supply your wadding/batting. I supply 100% cotton wadding in varying thickness. You supply your backing yourself.

Wadding starts at $23.95/metre

Basting

I can machine baste your quilt top, wadding and backing together to prepare it for you to hand quilt, or machine quilt yourself.

Basting service starts from $2.00/sq ft

Machine Quilting

I can help you to choose an Edge-2-Edge pattern that compliments your quilt design or I can custom quilt it for a stunning finish.

Edge-2-Edge quilting starts from $4.70/sq ft. Custom quilting P.O.A.

Binding

I can prepare and machine attach your binding ready for you to hand applique yourself or I can machine finish it for you.

Binding service starts from $2.00/linear foot

Essential tip: Your supplied quilt backing must include an extra 4 inches on every side so that your quilt can be loaded onto the long arm quilting machine.

ABOUT MAREE

I am a textile artist, patchwork quilter and teacher with over 25 years' of professional experience.

I absolutely adore traditional American style patchwork and have toured the USA to learn more about their patchworking techniques and trends and adding some vintage 1930s patchwork quilts to my collection along the way.

I am constantly learning new long arm machine quilting methods so that I can get the most from Gammill and Statler commercial long arm quilting machines.

My quilting studio is located on the Mid-North coast of NSW, however I have regular customers who send me their quilts from as far and wide as South Australia and Queensland.

I love to help my customers enhance their beautiful patchwork designs with stunning quilting.
